On the evening of June 9th, the opening reception of the 16th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (SHANGHAITEX 2013) was ceremoniously held in Shanghai Hall on the seventh floor of Shanghai International Convention Center by Shangtex Holding Co., Ltd., Shanghai Sub-council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Shanghai Chamber of Commerce of China Chamber of International Commerce. Mr. Yang Jichao, Vice Chairman of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), Mr. Xi Shiping, Chairman of Shanghai Textile Association and Board Chairman of Shangtex, Mr. Wang Lie, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Sub-council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Mr. Feng Yapei, Vice President of Shangtex, Mr. Du Shuangxin, Chairman of Shanghai Textile Engineering Society and other important persons attended this commercial event, including more than 1,000 exhibitors from 25 countries and areas.
Mr. Xi Shiping, Chairman of Shanghai Textile Association and Board Chairman of Shangtex made a speech on the evening event. He highly complimented that since it was founded in 1984, the International Exhibition on Textile Industry in Shanghai has been developed into a national brand with a wide international influence. The scale of SHANGHAITEX 2013 was more than 103,500m2, which is 10% increased compared with last one. Mr. Xi also pointed out that SHANGHAITEX organized by Shangtex, insists on the theme of “Gathering global leading textile machinery, leading the industry transformation and upgrading”, fully exhibits the new technology and process of domestic and overseas textile machinery which keeps close pace with the new requirement of the development of textile clothing markets, and plays an important service platform role in the innovation of the textile industry transformation.
In addition, Mr. Yang Jichao gave a warm speech. He said that SHANGHAITEX shall provide a better material foundation for the new development of the textile industry and become a technical supporting point of the developing strategy.
